There’s no need to compromise when you switch to our healthier formulation. Our dishwash tablets have been independently proven to work as well as, if not better than the mainstream alternative. The plant and mineral based ingredients produce effective stain removal, preventing spots and streaking and build up of limescale in your dishwasher. The no-mess tablets are individually wrapped in a PVA biodegradable wrapper that dissolves safely and harmlessly, so there’s no need to touch the tablet. They are suitable for all dishwashing machines including those with dish drawers.

Not suitable for silver, antique or painted porcelain, ivory or bone items. We recommend hand washing with ecostore Dishwash Liquid.

Use of Enzymes

We use enzymes in our dishwasher tablets and powder because:
They reduce the large number of chemicals needed to achieve similar results.
The production of enzymes allows for reduced energy and raw material consumption.
They are readily biodegradable.
A small amount < 1% in formulation is all that is needed to achieve excellent results.
They enable us to formulate safer dishwasher products with a lower alkalinity.
They meet the standards of third party eco certifiers such as the EU Ecolabel.

Where do cleaning enzymes come from?
Whilst the cleaning grade enzymes we use are not GE organisms, they are derived from a strictly controlled laboratory process which utilises GE.
There are two very distinct types of Genetic Engineering; In Higher organisms (humans, plants and animals) and Lower organisms (Microorganisms [Bacterium or Fungus]). GE of microorganisms is used in production of cleaning grade enzymes.

ecostore is not opposed to the ethical use of GE contained in laboratories e.g for the production of medicines such as insulin or more recently for the production of enzymes. Enzymes are also known as nature’s catalysts and are very effective cleaning agents in household cleaners when used judiciously e.g not in products which come into contact with the skin.
